The latest edition is only the second Hard Rock Hotel in Spain and brings the world’s most iconic music brand to the Costa del Sol.
Puerto Banus location
The new hotel that opened in mid-July is located in Nueva Andalucia with Puerto Banus on the doorstep. The Classic rooms have views of the marina, while other rooms have vistas over the gardens or Costa del Sol coastline.
The Puerto Banus beaches, famed for their opulent beach clubs and family-friendly sands, are just a few minutes walk from the new hotel.
Rooms at the new hotel
Hard Rock Hotel Marbella has a total of 383 rooms including 64 suites. The interior design carries the signature of Studio Gronda, which combines Hard Rock elements with Andalusian touches.
Each room has an air of the 1960s in a nod to the Costa del Sol’s origins. Those in the Deluxe category upwards have private balconies and guests can choose from different types of Rock Star suites.
Icons at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella
As you’d expect at a Hard Rock establishment, the latest arrival comes with all the rock trimmings. Special exhibits include one of Elvis Presley’s acoustic guitars, some sequined dresses belonging to Lady Gaga and a satin jacket worn by Prince.
Rooms have a musical vibe to them with instrumental touches such as trumpet-styled wall lights. Guests also have access to a Sound of Your Stay playlist, with tracks specially curated with Marbella in mind. Fender guitars are available for hire as are Crosley record players.
Pet and fitness-friendly
The latest hotel in Marbella welcomes canine friends with open arms. Pet-friendly features abound and your canine guests even get a pet track playlist.
On the fitness front, Hard Rock Hotel Marbella has a spa for wellness treatments, a yoga area and a gym. There’s also an infinity pool on the rooftop, one of the areas of the hotel with the best views.
Dining and events
In line with Marbella’s excellent culinary reputation, the new hotel will offer two restaurants, set to open in the near future. Sessions will showcase Spanish cuisine while Nu Downtown will focus on Asian gastronomy.
Nu Downtown will also splurge on entertainment with live music and DJ performances accompanying meals. An after-party will follow dessert. And meanwhile, up on the rooftop, the lounge bar Sun Society offers cocktails and snacks fusing Mexican and Japanese cuisine.
Latest hotel in Marbella
Hard Rock Hotel Marbella is managed by the Palladium Hotel Group who are also responsible for the 5-star Only You Hotel that recently opened in Malaga city centre. Their third hotel on the Costa del Sol is in Benalmadena.
The new hotel is the latest to join world-class brands in Marbella. They include Hotel Ikos Andalucia, which opened last summer and Club Med Magna Marbella which opened its doors earlier in late spring. For its part, METT Marbella is set to welcome its first guests in summer 2023.
